Director of Physical Therapy at The Orthopedic Sports Clinic
Dr. Lawrence (Seth) developed his strong work ethic, drive and determination from his father at an early age. His father taught him many things growing up such as, “the word can’t should not be in your vocabulary”, we can never become who we need to be by remaining who we are”, and “you should always strive to grow every day”. Seth utilizes these philosophies on a daily basis as he works with patients recovering form injuries or recuperating from orthopedic surgery. His goal with each patient is not just a full recovery, rather his goal is to return each patient stronger, more fit and with a new sense of ability.
Seth’s enthusiasm for health and fitness began many years ago when he worked as a personal trainer. This sparked his interest in health care, which led to him majoring in Kinesiology at the University of Houston, and ultimately earning his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Seth uses an array of manual therapy techniques, supported by therapeutic exercise that is complemented by neuromuscular reeducation to achieve his patient’s goals. He customizes each therapeutic plan to fit his patient’s individual goals and needs.
Seth has been a competitive athlete his entire life. He understands the importance of leading by example, which has inspired his own approach to continued healthy lifestyle through consistent exercise and sound nutrition. He also takes pride in helping others and making a difference in their life. Whether he is helping a patient get back to their career or get back on the football field, Seth feels the same sense of accomplishment.
Finally, Seth is the owner of Crossfit H-town where his beliefs in functional therapy complements his passion of functional training. His knowledge and experience with the worlds fastest developing fitness/nutrition programs has enhanced his professional work as a physical therapist, and allowed him to ultimately provide a unique and highly sought out experience that sets him far apart from others in his field.
