Juan Bustos M.D.Orthopedic Surgeon

Juan Bustos M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon with dual board certification in general orthopedics and sports medicine. He specializes in sports medicine injuries of the knee and shoulder, fractures, and general orthopedics.

Doctor Bustos received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he graduated with honors. He went on to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit where he was elected to the AOA honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati where he was distinguished as a future leader in the field of orthopedics by the distinguished American Orthopedic Association. His research on SLAP tears was presented and published nationally. Doctor Bustos completed his training with a fellowship in sports medicine at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. His published research here focused on disorders of the patella and patellofemoral instability.

Doctor Bustos has cared for athletes at all levels of competition from professional to recreational athletes. His approach is always patient focused and with the intent for full return to pre injury level. As an avid cyclist and swimmer he understands the needs of active individuals. He is married with three boys and lives in the memorial area.
